Three Narrow Wins – GREAT

A great day for the Club with three narrow wins helping gain ground on respective premiership ladders.

Division One moved to within one win of Mt Pleasant who they meet this week at Mt Pleasant.  Christine Keller’s rink had a good win by six shots with Malcolm getting home by a solitary shot.  Bob Edwards had a tight tussle going down by three shots.

Division Two had a great fight to get home by one shot.  Bill Robertson’s rink had a ten shot win whilst Chris Rowe and Ray Rattrays’ rinks recovered over the latter stages for the team to scrape home by one shot.  The team held onto sixth place and play eighth placed Mt Pleasant.

Top spot is now held by our Third Division team after their seven shot win over Woodside at Woodside.  Ron Bateman’s rink made another claim for this week’s Rink of the Week” voucher with a thirty shot win.  Tali Button’s rink had a close tussle going down by four shots whilst Shelly Howe’s team had a difficult day.

Note – the Club fielded three members of one family on Saturday – father Chris Button, daughter Tali and we welcomed son Adam to the team.  Not many clubs can boast that!!
