Division One faced top side Mt Barker No 1 and went down by four shots and a closely fought match where the lead changed hands on all rinks throughout the day.  Played ” under the dome”, Bob Edward’s rink got home by one shot against Joe de Ron on the last end whilst Malcolm Keller’s rink, also a draw with one end to play, lost by the solitary shot caused by John Corner’s last bowl sneaking in for the shot.  Christine Keller’s rink held sway against “Trap” Daw during the day but the game changed after afternoon tea and went down by four shots.

Division Two badly need a win to stay in the four.  Playing under bright sunlight in 36°C heat they defeated Mt Barker by sixteen shots.  Bill Robertson’s rink led the way with a sixteen shot win along with Ron Bateman’s rink home by three shots.  Tom Hennessey’s rink fought hard all day and just missed by three shots.

Both divisions play third and sixth respectively placed Gumeracha at Gumeracha next week.
