Battery World Mt Barker’s Keith and Jennifer Webster are a dynamic husband and wife power duo. In 2012 the Mt Barker store was voted by the Battery World Network, as the best store in Australia taking out the prestigious Franchisee of the Year at the National Conference.
Keith and his staff aim to deliver the best customer service experience they can. They have fast become a one-stop shop for Mt Barker battery needs and have made a name for themselves with their friendly approach to customers. They love being able to fix people’s problems and give them a solution to their power issues and troubles.
The new store in Totness (LH Side between Hahndorf and Mt Barker opposite Bunnings) is modern and items are easy to find.
They have a strong commitment to the local community through recycling. They happily take in your old domestic batteries for recycling from cars to AAs, along with supporting school recycling initiatives in schools from Aldgate to Jevois and Birdwood to Macclesfield. They also support fundraising for Camp Quality, Bravehearts, drought relief for farmers and autism research.
In 2012 Keith and his team donated the solar panels, batteries, hardware and cabling to power the cameras to catch the birth of the cheetahs at the Adelaide Zoo providing amazing insight for the zoo’s education programs.
We are delighted to have Battery World as a sponsor of the Hahndorf Bowling Club and members are encouraged to support their store when-ever they have a battery need or problem.
The Federal Member for Mayo, Rebekha Sharkie, is a politician of firsts. She is the first non-conservative politician to represent the once safe Liberal electorate of Mayo since it was created in 1984; and the first woman to represent her part of regional South Australia since Federation.
After winning Mayo with an 17% election swing, Rebekha has been focused on fulfilling her election promise to “Make Mayo Matter” after years of being a seat taken for granted.
She is the NXT spokesperson for education; employment; agriculture and rural affairs; family and community services; disability services; housing; youth; women; Indigenous affairs and sport.
Rebekha is also a member of various parliamentary committees including government procurement; education, employment and training; and the Parliamentary Education Office.
Before being elected to Federal Parliament, Rebekha worked as a paralegal, researcher, policy adviser and a manager of youth services.
She lives in the Adelaide Hills with her family and grabs the chance to fish any time she can!
The Hahndorf Bowling Club was supported by Rebekha prior to lodging our Lighting Grant Application. She has given an undertaking to provide support through her office when we are looking for any further support for future programs.
