On a cool afternoon at Lobethal, our Division One team took on highly fancied Woodside and came away winners in their elimination final.  Excellent bowling throughout the day with wonderful saves from skipper’s final bowls were the highlight of the day.  Some of our team used “Uraidla Draw” tactics to draw shot, much to the delight of Uraidla’s Geoff Deeble.

Christine Keller’s rink accounted for Steve Baker’s rink with pressure bowling whilst Malcolm Keller’s rink had a great tussle with Peter Magelsdorf’s rink getting on top late in the day.  Bob Edward’s rink got away early but lost ground and were all square with one end to play.  Tight bowling from both teams resulted in a one shot win to Hahndorf.

Well done to all players for a great effort.
Now for Mt Barker who narrowly lost to Lobethal by three shots.
