Both Division One and Division Two travelled to Lobethal having played the previous Saturday hopeful for a better result on their very slow greens. All players, except for our international import, Robin Potter, had the same difficulties with both length and green as from the previous games. One hopes for the sake of the Lobethal bowlers as much for opposition teams that the green speeds up over the coming months so all bowlers can enjoy their bowls.
President, Bill Robertson, defying suggestions not to play, was the only successful rink getting home by four shots. Notably, Robin Potter was in that rink.
Round eleven on Wednesday 10th January 2018 see Top Division who sit in sixth place meet Mt Barker 2 (8th) at Hahndorf. Division Two are just outside the top four and meet eighth placed Meadows at Hahndorf. Both matches are definitely winnable and needed to consolidate their positions.
