Last Saturday saw our Ladies and Men’s Club Singles played in excellent weather and great spirit.

Both matches were keenly contested with Ray getting away to a handy lead only to see the second last end with the scores locked at 22 all.  Phil took advantage of the short end and got home with the winning shots.

Tali  took the game up to the more fancied Sue with the lead closing before endedSue closed the game out with three shots on the last end.

Congratulations to Sue and Phil plus Tali and Ray for the manner in which the games were played.

The games completed a successful two days for Sue and Phil who finished equal third in the State Mixed Pairs.

Richard Crocker, Ray Rattray, Tim Anderson and Graham Evans’ run ended in the quarter finals of the State Fours held in atrocious conditions at Murray Bridge last Thursday.

It is a great boost for our Club to have members competing at this level and being successful.

The weekend was rounded out with our Christmas Dinner held at the Clubrooms on Saturday evening.  Thirty three members, partners and friends attended and had a great time.  The catering was excellent and GMS Catering is recommended for any future functions.
