Beerenberg Day Great Success

Sunny weather provided an excellent backdrop to our Beerenberg Australia Day Open Medley.   Sixty-four bowlers from country, hills, and metro converged on Hahndorf and enjoyed a day of fellowship away from pennant bowls.  The final result, over four games, came down to three teams, with the mixed team of Chris Nicholls (Mt Barker), Gill Bartley (Tranmere), Annette Forbes (Woodside), and Geoff Deeble (Hahndorf) winning the day from the Brighton team of Dawn and Glen Stoddart and Elaine and David Harvey sneaking into the runner’s up spot by one shot.    An Encouragement Award went to the team from Morphett Vale, of Clare and John Munro with Jenny and Tony Roberts.

The Club extends its thanks to all bowlers who supported this annual event and look forward to seeing you next year.

The Club thanks our volunteers who gave their time to make this event such a success.  Special thanks to Shelly for her untiring work managing the kitchen.

To our major sponsor, Beerenberg Family Farm, again, our sincere thanks for your continued support for over 30 years.  Your support makes this event such a success.  To Kathleen Hooker, thank you for representing Beerenberg and making the presentations.
