What a great day!!   Full rinks, with bowlers from both metropolitan and country clubs, graced our greens to enjoy a great day of bowls and social interaction.

The highlight was the luncheon, created by Gail VortRonald, where many were saying they would have paid their $20 just for the luncheon, let alone have the opportunity to play bowls.   The incorporation of Beerenberg’s wide range of products used to accompany each dish was made known to all by Shelly prior to each sitting.

Competition throughout the day was fierce, with the overall result going down the wire between the rinks from Edwardstown and Aldinga.  Both finished with
82 1/2 points, but Edwardstown won by 2 shots up.

Kathleen Hooker, on behalf of Beerenberg, presented the prizes.  Her words leading up to the presentation gave all in attendance an excellent background to the history of the relationship between Beerenberg and the Paech family with the Hahndorf Bowling Club.

We thank all who made the day so memorable – the bowlers who attended, the volunteers who worked so hard, and most importantly Beerenberg Family Farm for their continued support for over thirty years.
