What a way to spend Australia Day?  Where else but at the Hahndorf Bowling Club’s Annual Beerenberg Day.  Magic weather, quality green and the clubhouse decorated in Australian Colours.

Fourteen rinks from as far as Humpty Doo (NT) and Nuriootpa gathered to enjoy the day.  Competition was fierce, fun and frantic throughout with players swapping from fours to pairs than back to fours.  Lunch provided a welcome relief from the sun and was enjoyed by all.

The overall winning rink was skippered by Dave Body from Beaumont with 62pts and Runners Up were Ian Brown’s rink from Prospect/Broadview with 59pts.  Spot prizes were awarded throughout the day and made for some extra fun.  

Our sincere thanks to Shelly Howe and her band of willing workers who looked after the set up, luncheon, afternoon tea, bar and clean up to make this Australia Day Annual Beerenberg tournament such a success.
